The Haunted Car and the President of the United States

Part I
Cheryl was a student who lived in Alabama's deep south. The young woman commuted back and forth to college for several years and after much planning and shopping around, she made the decision to go out that morning and buy herself the car of her dreams.
She met with a salesman who was at least half her age and probably not old enough to own a driver's license. The two went through the entire lot twice, inspecting each car until she found the one that met her fancy.
"I want that one," she said and pointed at a new black Lexus.
The salesman stood there for a moment without making any comment, which caused Cheryl to look over toward the boy. "Well? Are you going to sell me this car?" she asked in a haughty tone.
The kid still did not respond and the woman see that the salesman apparently lost his color and was a ghostly white. "Hey, you alright?" she asked.
The salesman almost appeared to be in a trance like state. Cheryl waved her hand in front of the guy and nothing--no response. Finally she grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him until he came around. "Hey, come out of it!" she yelled. "Wake up! Hello? I want to buy this car right here!"
He finally looked at her in sheer terror. "But...but, that car is haunted," he told her.
"Okay, look. If you don't want to sell me a car, just tell me so! Don't make up some crap to scare me so I won't buy one!"
"No, Ma'am, I'm for real. That car right there is Haunted!" the salesman said.
The salesman began to walk away, but was stopped when Cheryl grabbed the back of his collar. "Whoa! Hold on there. I believe I said I want this one."
"Yeah--yeah, but it's haunted," the salesmen whimpered.
"Do you have the keys so I can check out the inside?" she asked.
He nervously pulled out a set of keys and handed them over to Cheryl. "Here."
"Wuss," Cheryl said as she took the keys from the frightened boy. Without hesitation she walked over to the driver's side and put the key into the door and opened it. The aroma of a new car welcomed her. Nothing looked haunted about the vehicle. She turned to the kid and asked if she could get in, but he did not reply. Cheryl probably could have driven away and the boy wouldn't have said anything. She sat down on the fine black leather seat. Everything was so inviting. The young woman knew that soon this car was going to be her own.
"So tell me, what makes you think this car is haunted?" she asked, looking up from behind the wheel at the salesman.
"It’s a ghost car. I drove it off the truck onto the lot. It spoke to me; it told me things that no one could have known."
