A caricature is a humorous illustration that exaggerates or distorts
the basic essence of a person or thing to create an easily identifiable
visual likeness. That's what I do for a living.
My first caricature gig was when I was ten years old. It was for Parent
Visitation Night for my Summer Camp. I drew people either as
themselves or a dinosaur. I've been doing that ever since; just not as
often. My
style of caricature is often misunderstood. Somebody once asked if
people have a problem latching on and understanding what I do. Some may
say I draw squiggly, childish drawings, without realizing that it takes
skill to draw in that style. My work has been seen on web sites;
newspaper advertisements; Ice Cream trucks; Gift Caricatures; and
various newsletters. And soon in a magazine.
I have also been a member of the National Caricaturist Network since 2005
